Since its establishment in 1983, the American Art Pottery Association has continued to bring people together to share their knowledge and interest in art pottery. The AAPA and its membership enjoy various activities each year such as: annual convention; show, sale, and auction of Art Pottery; and the quarterly publication of the Journal of American Art Pottery Association.

  • To unify and strengthen the voice of collectors and dealers of American Art Pottery.
  • To foster a members’ Code of Ethics for buying, selling, exhibiting and publishing about American Art Pottery.

Christine is a long-time member of AAPA and a pottery collector and dealer. She also serves on the Board of the Wisconsin and Iowa Pottery Associations.

Arnie Small has been selling American art pottery for over 25 years. Active in many things ceramic, he was President of the AAPA for 10 years. He also serves on the Board of Pottery Lovers.

Tom Brady FolkTrustee - New Jersey
Tom Brady Folk is an art historian known for his writings on 19th and 20th century American ceramics, and on the Pennsylvania impressionists. He has written at least nine articles for the JOURNAL.
Jean Oberkirsch
Jean Oberkirsch Trustee - Missouri
Jean has been an important part of the AAPA for over 35 years. She has served as secretary, treasurer, membership secretary, show manager and all around keeper of the flame in times good and bad.
Bruce Johnson
